Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 July 2026. Applies to the "Teams Message Extractor" browser extension.

Summary: everything the extension does happens locally in your browser. Your Teams messages, files and exports never leave your device. We collect no analytics and run no servers, so we never see any of your data.

What the extension does with your data

When you start an extraction, the extension reads the Microsoft Teams conversation that is open in your browser tab and builds the export (CSV, HTML, or ZIP of attachments) entirely on your device. The resulting files are saved through your browser's normal download mechanism to your computer. Message content is never transmitted to the extension's developer or to any third party.

Future paid features

A paid tier is planned for a future update (see the Paid Model FAQ). If and when it launches, activating a licence will send only your licence key and a random, anonymous installation identifier to our payment and licensing provider, Lemon Squeezy, to validate the licence. Payment details are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under their privacy policy. The extension never sees your payment information, and your Teams message content will continue to be processed only on your device. This policy will be updated before any such change takes effect.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced in the extension's release notes and reflected on this page with a new effective date.
